Piazza Santissima Annunziata, the place where the Non Una di Meno collective gathers every week to remember the victims of femicide, is filled with voices and colors today. For March 8th, fuchsia pañuelos wave in the wind and are tied around necks, accompanying the loud march that winds through the heart of Florence. Smiling faces, yet hiding anger. An anger that erupts even more fiercely on a day many believe has been co-opted and trivialized. In front of the Palazzo della Regione Toscana, dozens of letters are symbolically posted to draw attention to access to the abortion pill RU486, which remains subject to unacceptable restrictions.
